Description

A couple of "Highlander" Cows...not sure if this was the mother and her offspring or not. It seemed like it, they were both so cute.

What a nice surprise to receive a potd today! My friend Terry Cervi and I went on a photo shoot to Watkins Glen and found these super cute cows along the way so we stopped to photograph them. The farmer eventually came down the path and told us they are called Highlanders...both male and female have horns. They are apparently a hearty breed which originates from Scotland, I believe. Funny part is, Terry and I stopped several years ago at this same spot and one of the BIG cows ran towards us so we had to run up a hill thinking he would come through the fence...the farmer told us they actually did that one time. They were friendly this time and very curious, however we were ready, just in case! LOL! Thanks for the kind remarks :) #11199442
