Smoky Morning Light

One of the most unusual and striking scenes I've encountered in 23 years of volunteering at the cathedral... Rehearsals were underway early this morning for the Armistice Day Centennial Concert (to be held Sunday); part of the varied musical selection will be accompanied by atmospheric smoke. The smoke was still hanging in the air when I arrived, as strong morning sun poured through the "Founding of a New Nation" window, above George Washington's statue. Alas, I only had my iPhone SE with me, but it beat having no camera, to capture the memorable scene of stained glass light filtered through light smoke...
