Description

Canon EF24-105mmL, F20. ISO2000, HDR. The world's first mountain-climbing (rack and pinion) railway. It uses a Marsh rack system and one or two steam locomotives and four biodiesel powered locomotives to carry tourists to the top of the mountain.
Located in New Hampshire, it is the second steepest rack railway in the world.

Great shot! Reminds me of the train ride up to Machu Pichu. They have a series of tracks that look like our truck runaway ramps. The train speeds up one, then they switch the track at the bottom of the ramp so that gravity helps the train to back down into another track, and it goes to and fro, higher and higher til the top of the steep mountain is achieved. #10871650

Absolutely breathtaking capture Terry, if I was a judge I would just give you the GOLD now. This photo has it all, perfect composition, vibrant colors, beautiful blue sky, gorgeous mountains, and outstanding DOF and detail.

Are you using the in camera HDR Terry or a separate program, if not in camera which program do you use as I'm looking to buy one.

Thanks so much everyone. Jeffrey, I've never tried my in-camera HDR. I use Photomatix for my HDR work and like it very much. There are quite a few presets but you can tweak your HDR image to your liking as well. #10872385
